But why can't I wear hipster headdress? - Freaking word.
India’s Transgendered Festival and the Crowning of Miss Koovagam - Too bad 'Weird Asia News' had to be the site with this article. I guess it's 'weird' to the norms.
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World - I wasn't sold on the movie until I saw the trailer. Now I want to go! At least, to check out the way they've integrated graphics into the special effects.
Adult type comic - Teahouse
now would be a good time to send Diana Wynne Jones fanmail - "she has decided to discontinue chemotherapy for cancer." via

Saving at the Supermarket: 15 Great Grocery Shopping Tips
Something I'll be trying, starting next week, is the farmer's market on Tuesday evening for in-season fruits and vegetables. I'll be bringing twenty dollars cash and that's probably way too much.
Speaking of spending, I really do need to get a handle on my spending. So says the girl planning on spending a crap-tonne of money on travel this year. Honestly, tho, I have an embarrassment of clothing and accessories, more books than I can read, courses to do, distractions a plenty, all the electronic gadgets I could need, art/craft supplies galore, and with this recent purchase of new glasses I'm set in that department as well.
I'm DONE with shopping for the summer. Aside from plane tickets and a bit of mad money for the trip I'm taking to my parents' place this summer (car pooling with my aunts for a ten-hour drive) I'm going to try to spend as little money as possible. Renovations in my office can wait. (Meh, I'm not really into it anymore anyways. My interest is a fleeting thing.) Or maybe I'll tell myself new art/craft supplies ONLY when I actually make money off the sale of arts/crafts. Maybe that will inspire me to use my Etsy shoppe more. I also want to get back into the habit of haunting thrift stores and garage sales. If I DO renovate my office, I want to try to avoid buying anything new.
