May. 2nd, 2009 01:15 pmC: I'm going out for a haircut. I won't tell you what I'm eating for lunch while I'm out!
Tammy: A&W.
C: ... well, maybe not! Maybe I'll eat something else today!
Tammy: *sigh* When you go for a haircut you always get A&W.
C: *mutter* Maybe not this time...
lol, he's SO getting A&W. Creature of habit.
Dieting is harder on the weekend. I'm used to concocting special meals on the weekend when I have time! Italian cold cut sammmiches, special salads and veggie dishes, BBQ! *whimper* BBQ chicken breast WITHOUT sauce is just not gonna cut it.
Plus, we shop at Costco and M&Meats on the weekend which means free samples of delicious foods! Which I VERY VERY BRAVELY refused. ;__;
PLUS I tend to sleep in on the weekend which means by the time we're in the midst of grocery shopping/running errands I'm already a couple hundred calories behind on my daily intake and that makes me bitchy and tired and headachey.
But I feel better, my breath smells better, and our grocery bill may be a bit more but it is all healthy food.
I am a rewards-based person so I have three daily indulgences:
1. I am allowed two slices of bread a day so I have been treating myself with artisan bread; specifically black Russian pumpernickel. Uhnnnnnn.... so much flavour. I don't need butter or anything on it.
2. Diet Coke. Yes, I detest the Coca Cola corporation but I neeeeeeed something sweet. I neeeed something that is akin to a treat. ;__; And one can of diet coke a day is my treat.
3. 5 calorie jello. This may be the most unsatisfying dessert ever but at least I can eat one when I feel I need a pick me up and not feel guilty about the whoooole 5 calories.
I chatted with my trainer and I MAY have certain kinds of sushi and beef tenderloin. Life has suddenly become worth living again! =D Now to calculate how many calories my tenderloin will be so I can adjust my diet tomorrow to accommodate it.
It's been... five days and I haven't cheated once. The biggest temptation that will face me in the next few weeks is going to see Star Trek next Friday with W. No theatre hot dog for me. ;_; Maybe I can get away with popcorn with no butter? I can do a diet coke. Maybe I can smuggle in some apple slices. *rolls around*
I have no idea how I'll handle visiting my parents for a week.
